If you're a High School student, we have something for you. Our youth ministry program offers tons of events, programs, trips, retreats, and service opportunities for you. We are committed to you and we are all about helping you grow in your faith. We believe that Jesus can actually satisfy the deepest desires of your heart and we believe that you have a home in the Catholic Church.

Believing that God requires us to love Him and to love others, we recognize that service is an essential part of our Catholic faith. We don't serve because we feel sorry for others, we serve because in serving them, we are actually reaching out to Christ Himself. Whether you need service hours for school or you're just trying to reach out to help our brothers and sisters in need, we invite you to serve with us and watch as God gives back to you far more than you could ever hope to give Him...

SNL

SNL (Sunday Night Live) is our large-group Sunday Night event. After Mass and dinner, we have games, music, and a short talk. These nights typically draw the most teens, and they are great opportunities to invite your friends who have never been to St. Mary's before.

These nights begin with Mass at 5pm, followed by dinner in Farrell Hall. SNL goes from 6:45-8:15pm.

XLT

As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is the "Source and Summit of the Christian life" (CCC 1324). XLT stands for "exalt," and it is an opportunity to spend an hour with Jesus, present in the Eucharist. We always have an hour of adoration, usually with music and a short talk at the beginning. LEAD Team is our peer leadership program for High School Juniors and Seniors. LEAD Team members will go through leadership training as well as helping us plan for Youth Ministry events. If you're a Junior or Senior who wants to help lead other teens to Christ, then LEAD is for you. Contact Brian for details...

CLC

C.L.C. stands for Catholic Life Communities and is a small group environment that is dedicated to building great friendships and going deeper in your faith. Boys and girls meet separately and discuss everything from our favorite new songs to the stresses of school to questions we have about the Catholic faith. C.L.C also takes super fun retreats and the members there will become some of your closest friends. Everyone is welcome all the time!

Activity Fee

One of the ways that we try to foster a sense of community and hospitality to the youth that we serve is through providing food and drinks at our events. In years past, the parish has covered the cost of these meals. As our attendance continues to grow, the costs associated with the meals also grows. This year we are implementing an activity fee to help offset the cost of these meals. The suggested amount is $50 for a teen or $75 for a family with more than one teen in high school. If you are able to contribute please do so, but all teens are welcomed to participate in our program whether or not they pay the activity fee. Checks can be made payable to St. Mary of Sorrows with YM in the memo.
